Navigating Web3 Frontiers - Building Protein Community

Client: Protein, a London & Amsterdam based brand consultancy. As the Community Manager and Head of Community for Protein, I took on a pivotal role in facilitating collaboration and innovation within the Protein Community. With a rich history of bringing together brilliant minds since 1997, Protein's mission is to collaboratively discover, incubate, and release projects that contribute to a better future through Studios, Agency and Reports.

Project Overview

The Protein Community initiative aimed to provide a space for collaborative ideation, incubation, and execution of projects that align with the ethos of creating a positive impact on the future. My multifaceted role involved overseeing diverse community-driven projects, managing community growth and operations, leading the core team, and orchestrating numerous online and offline events. I was also responsible for the accounting and compensation for our community token $PRTN.

Key Accomplishments

1. Project Management and Execution: I successfully managed 5+ diverse projects from ideation to execution, ensuring each project made meaningful contributions to the growth and development of the Protein Community.

2. Strategic Adaptation to Web3 Dynamics: Demonstrating strategic prowess, I adapted to the evolving web3 landscape and market dynamics. This involved staying abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and community needs to ensure the Protein Community remained innovative and future-focused.

3. Event Oversight: Overseeing 30+ online and offline events, I meticulously planned and executed strategic events that fostered community engagement, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing, contributing to the vibrant and dynamic nature of the Protein Community.

4. Content Development and Narrative: I drove the development of compelling content, maintaining a consistent narrative that resonated with the community's values and aspirations. This contributed to the creation of a cohesive and engaging community story.

5. Token Management: Managing the Protein token ($PRTN), I ensured transparent accounting for operations and community contributions, facilitating a seamless and efficient reward system within the community.

6. Online Collaborative Work Environment: I played a crucial role in fostering an online collaborative work environment, aligning the core team with the community's vision, and ensuring a collective commitment to the goals and values of Protein.

Design Highlight: Cohort-based DAO Onboarding

A standout achievement was the design of a cohort-based DAO onboarding journey. This innovative approach to onboarding achieved an impressive 80% completion rate and a remarkable 4.5/5 happiness score. Invited to online panels, I had the opportunity to share insights and discuss the success of this onboarding strategy, further establishing Protein as a thought leader in community management and DAO development.
